Kwanele is cheerful, active and happiest when he is in the water. He gets around Penguitropolis in his wheelchair, and it never slows down how much he packs into a day. He is creative too, and loves painting and crafting whenever he gets the chance.
Water is where Kwanele feels most free. He loves splashing, floating and racing his friends from one end of the pool to the other, and he is usually the one suggesting a swim before anyone else has thought of it. On dry land, his energy does not let up. He rolls from one game to the next, always ready to join in or lead the way.
Painting and crafting are where Kwanele slows down just a little. Give him some paint, paper or a pile of odds and ends, and he will happily spend an afternoon creating something colourful and entirely his own. His friends love seeing what he comes up with next.
He is also one of Penguitropolis's biggest dog lovers. Along with his friend Fozia, he knows the name of nearly every dog in the neighbourhood and never misses a chance to say hello. Between the water, the crafting and the dogs, Kwanele fills his days with the things he loves most.
